Android security fix MMS flaw – Turn Off MMS Message Auto retrieve.<\/p>\n

Android Security Fix Steps<\/h1>\n

Step 1 – Hangouts or Messaging<\/h2>\n

If you’re using Google Hangouts for SMS\/MMS, open Hangouts\u00a0app. (For Messaging app<\/a>?)<\/p>\n

Click on Settings<\/p>\n

Stagefright flaw in Android exploits\u00a0how Android’s\u00a0MMS (Multimedia Messages) system\u00a0automatically downloads MMS\u00a0content (e.g. video) to be read \/ cached locally, without any user interaction. \u00a0This automatic reading of the MMS content allows attackers to embed their virus \/ trojan payload into a video which will automatically be run by Android’s Content Provider \/ Stagefright system.<\/p>\n
